Another highlight is “Academia”, released as part of the 20th-anniversary celebration and featured in a live recording made in Salvador. The track retains elements that have become recurring features of Léo's work: percussion, dance, humor and arrangements designed for an immediate audience response.

Léo Santana brings pagodão, forró, arrocha and piseiro together
That versatility also appears on the EP “SJ do GG”, released in 2026 with six new songs. The project mixes the pulse of Bahia's pagodão with influences from forró, arrocha and piseiro, bringing Léo closer to sounds that become especially prominent during São João season and major celebrations across Brazil's Northeast.
The project features Pablo, Natanzinho Lima, Rey Vaqueiro and Filho do Piseiro. The guest lineup reinforces this meeting of different musical worlds and helps explain why Léo's presence at events such as Vaquejada de Serrinha connects with audiences who follow pagode as well as forró, arrocha and piseiro.
PaGGodin revisits another side of the singer's musical roots
Beyond large-scale stages, Léo Santana has also explored more intimate formats through PaGGodin. The project's third edition, recorded at the Museum of Modern Art of Bahia in Salvador, reconnects the artist with the samba and pagode circles that were part of his life even before national fame.
Featuring guests such as Pablo, Jau and Yan, the project shows a different side of the artist from the large choreographies and stage productions usually associated with him. It underlines that behind the image of the “Gigante” is a career built on diverse musical influences deeply connected to Bahia.

Léo Santana is confirmed for the Saturday, September 5 lineup at Vaquejada de Serrinha 2026. The event takes place at Parque de Vaquejada Maria do Carmo in Serrinha, with Xand Avião, Toque Dez, Tarcísio do Acordeon, João Gomes and Silvânia & Berg appearing on the same night.
His appearance brings Bahia pagode to a lineup dominated by forró, piseiro and arrocha. At the same time, recent projects such as “SJ do GG” show that Léo has already been incorporating these sounds into his own repertoire, creating a natural connection with the musical atmosphere of large celebrations in Brazil's interior.
