Updated: Aug 26
Featuring Ícaro & Gilmar, Israel & Rodolffo and Cleber & Cauan, the project will be recorded in Aparecida de Goiânia and marks a new chapter for the duo, who have surpassed 250 million views on YouTube
A night of encounters, music and celebration of a story built over many years. That is what Max & Luan promise with the recording of their new DVD, “Nunca Desisto”, scheduled for August 11 in Aparecida de Goiânia, Goiás.
The project arrives at an important point in the duo’s career and features three major sertanejo guests: Ícaro & Gilmar, Israel & Rodolffo and Cleber & Cauan, who are artistic mentors to Max & Luan.
More than a new audiovisual release, “Nunca Desisto” represents a new stage for artists who began their careers as teenagers and built a path marked by persistence, a close connection with their audience and a passion for sertanejo music.
Major sertanejo collaborations
The recording will feature important names from the sertanejo scene, creating collaborations between different styles and generations within the genre.
Ícaro & Gilmar, Israel & Rodolffo and Cleber & Cauan will join Max & Luan on the project, expanding the DVD’s musical scope and reinforcing relationships the duo has built throughout its career.
Among the special guests, the presence of Cleber & Cauan carries particular significance because of their role as mentors to Max & Luan.
A DVD about love, longing and overcoming challenges
The “Nunca Desisto” repertoire will combine new songs and re-recordings, moving through different sides of sertanejo music.
Romance, heartbreak, love, longing, overcoming difficulties and persistence are among the themes shaping the identity of the new project.
The DVD title itself summarizes the message the duo wants to convey in this new phase: to keep believing even when a music career brings difficult challenges.
A partnership that began in their teenage years
Max & Luan’s story began in Minaçu, Goiás.
Max began his musical journey at 16, while Luan received his first guitar at 11 and started playing at church. The two met in 2007, while still teenagers, through mutual friends.
Their musical connection was immediate and, two years later, in 2009, the partnership officially became a duo.
Since then, Max & Luan have developed an identity shaped by charisma, closeness to the audience and a blend of traditional and contemporary sertanejo influences.
“Vestido Coladinho” and the projects that shaped their career
Over the years, the duo has released projects that helped consolidate its position in sertanejo music.
In 2021, “Vestido Coladinho” became one of the highlights of Max & Luan’s career and expanded the artists’ visibility.
The following year, the duo adopted a hybrid DVD format, combining the energy of live concerts with audiovisual production.
In 2023 came “Esquiminha 2”, a continuation of the previous project featuring guests such as Cleber & Cauan and DJ Guuga.
At the end of 2024, Max & Luan launched “Esquiminha Acústico”, recorded in Goiânia. The project featured 15 re-recordings of sertanejo classics and strengthened the duo’s connection to the genre’s roots.
In 2025, the project continued with the new song “Retrato de Mãe”.
More than 250 million views on YouTube
Max & Luan’s career has also gained strength in the digital space.
The duo has surpassed 250 million views on YouTube, the result of years of releases, audiovisual projects and an ongoing relationship with fans.
The figure highlights the duo’s strength on digital platforms and the ability of its projects to reach different audiences within sertanejo music.
Now, “Nunca Desisto” arrives with the goal of opening a new chapter in that story.
“Nunca Desisto” represents a new chapter
The name was chosen deliberately. For Max & Luan, “Nunca Desisto” sums up the journey of two artists who started young, faced the challenges of the music industry and continue working to expand their place in the scene.
With new songs, re-recordings and special guests, the DVD aims to capture not only a career moment, but also the essence of a duo that has made persistence one of its main strengths.
The recording takes place on August 11 in Aparecida de Goiânia and is set to bring together major sertanejo artists for a special night in Max & Luan’s career.
